Yawanawa

Yawanawa rapé at Mycotrop

The products in this subcategory are rapé blends; the word rapé is also spelled rapeh or hapé. Every product name here contains Yawanawa and the name of the blend, and the same six products also appear in the main Rapé category. Mycotrop uses the name of the people as it appears in the product names and makes no further claim about where or by whom each blend was made. Like every item in the shop, these blends are sold only as collectibles or souvenirs.

Several other subcategories of the Rapé category also carry the name of a people, for example Katukina, Huni Kuin, Nukini and Puyanawa. Alongside them, the Rapé category has subcategories of other kinds, such as accessories and ashes.

The six blends, pack sizes and references

Each blend has one product page with two pack sizes, and each pack size has its own reference, ending in -10 for 10 g and -50 for 50 g. Blend names are used as they appear in the product names and have no translated versions, so Kanarô and New Hope read the same in English, French and German. The current stock of each pack size is shown on the product page.

Tsunu and mulateiro: names shared with two bark ashes

Two of the blend names are also used for bark ashes that Mycotrop sells on their own in the Ashes category: Yawanawá tsunu, the powdered bark ash of Platycyamus regnellii, a species of the legume family (Fabaceae), and mulateiro, the powdered bark ash of Calycophyllum spruceanum, a species of the coffee family (Rubiaceae). Both ashes are listed as coming from Brazil. The ashes and the rapé blends are separate items, and a blend name on its own tells you nothing about the ingredients. The composition of the blends is not stated on this page.
