Caboclo

About the Caboclo subcategory

The seven products in this subcategory are rapé blends, also written rapeh or hapé. Each product name contains Caboclo and the name of the blend, and all seven are listed in the main Rapé category as well. Like all items in the shop, they are sold strictly as collectibles or souvenirs.

The supplier uses the word Caboclo for people whose history goes back to the post-colonial period and combines Indigenous, European and African elements. For the Paricá and Parica Extra blends, it describes the maker as a non-Indigenous rapé maker from the region. Other Rapé subcategories group blends under names such as Nukini or Huni Kuin.

Seven blends, two pack sizes

Every blend is available as 10 g and as 50 g, and each size has its own reference: the base reference shown below plus -10 or -50. Gesileu is the only blend whose reference, RAGE02, differs from the RACO05 pattern of the other six.

The blend names are kept in the form used in the product names, including the accents of Paricá and Samaúma, and are not translated. The current stock of each size is shown on the product page.

Paricá blends and other paricá products

Two of the seven blends share the word paricá: Paricá and Parica Extra, two separate products with their own references. The word also appears on two items outside this subcategory. The Ashes category lists a parica bark ash from Brazil, sold on its own, and the main Rapé category has a blend sold as tobacco-free Parica.

A shared name says nothing about the composition of a Caboclo blend, and this page does not state it.
