The Yawanawá in brief
According to the Instituto Socioambiental (ISA), the Yawanawá live in the southern part of the Terra Indígena Rio Gregório, in the municipality of Tarauacá in the Brazilian state of Acre, and share this land with Katukina families from the village of Sete Estrelas. ISA gives a population of 849 in Acre (Siasi/Sesai, 2020). Here the name only identifies the product range, written as on the product; it is not a claim about who made this blend or where.
Choosing between Yawanawa blends
All six Yawanawa blends come in the same two sizes, so the choice is between blend names rather than formats. Next to Chief, the range lists Kanarô, Mulateiro, New Hope, Tsunu and Waxy. The name Chief is kept in English, as on the product, and is not translated on the French and German pages. No ingredients are given for Chief, because no supplier document confirming them is on file yet.
Packaging and delivery
