Sananga

Explore our Sananga collection, inspired by one of the distinctive botanical traditions of the Amazon rainforest. Sananga is traditionally prepared using the roots and bark of selected plants from the Tabernaemontana genus, including Tabernaemontana undulata and Tabernaemontana sananho.

For generations, Sananga has held an important place within the traditional practices of several Amazonian indigenous communities, where knowledge surrounding its preparation and use has been transmitted through ancestral traditions. It has been associated with traditional ceremonies, hunting practices and broader plant-based rituals.

At Mycotrop, our Sananga category brings together products for people interested in traditional Amazonian botanicals, ethnobotany and indigenous plant traditions. Discover the botanical heritage of Sananga and the remarkable Tabernaemontana plants from which it originates.
