Bottles and volumes

Every scent comes in the same three sizes. According to the product photos, the 50 ml and 100 ml bottles have a white spray head, while the 500 ml bottle is closed with a white cap. The volume is printed on each label. The three sizes of one scent hold the same liquid; only the quantity differs.

The plants behind three of the names

Three scents name a plant species on the supplier record. Pogostemon cablin, the patchouli plant, belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae); according to WCVP it is native to Sri Lanka, western and central Malesia and Papua New Guinea. Bursera graveolens, the palo santo tree, belongs to the Burseraceae and is native from Mexico to north-western Venezuela and Peru. Aniba rosaeodora, named on the palo de rosa water, is a tree of the laurel family (Lauraceae).

For Florida Water the supplier names lavender, rose, jasmine and orange blossom as floral essences; for the palo santo water it names palo santo essential oil with Agua de Florida. For thyme and Ceremony it gives neither an ingredient list nor a botanical name, so none is stated here.

Related categories

The palo santo floral water is also listed under Palo Santo, next to sticks, logs and resin from the same tree. Palo de rosa and patchouli essential oils, in sizes from 10 ml to 1 l, are in Essential Oils.

Burning safely

Burn incense, resins, smudge sticks and palo santo in a well-ventilated room, on a heat-resistant holder (a dish, sand, or charcoal for resins), away from curtains and anything flammable. Always put out the embers before you leave the room.

Precautions

Never leave anything burning unattended, and keep children and pets at a distance.
Smoke can irritate the airways: air the room, and avoid use if you have asthma or a respiratory illness.
Essential oils and floral waters: never swallow them and keep them away from the eyes; dilute oils before any contact with the skin, and seek advice during pregnancy.
Plant ash is not meant to be inhaled: handle it with care.

Storage

Keep incense, resins and wood dry, in a closed container, away from light and heat, so that they keep their fragrance. Close oils and floral waters tightly after use.
