Grow your own mushroom for music-festivals

Step 1: Soaking the Kit

1. Remove the lid from the grow kit.

2. Fill the container with water until completely full.

3. Replace the lid and let it soak for 9–12 hours, preferably in a cold place like the refrigerator.

Step 2: Preparing the Kit

1. After 9–12 hours, remove the lid and rinse it under running water (you'll need it later).

2. Drain all excess water from the kit.

Step 3: Setting up the grow bag

1. Pour approximately 150ml of clean tap water into the grow bag.

2. Place the grow kit inside the grow bag with the water.

3. Spray the inner sides of the bag with water once during setup.

Tip: Maintain a humidity level of 85–100%.Step 4: Placing the Kit

Step 4: Placing the Kit

1. Fold the top of the grow bag twice (about 3cm) and secure with paperclips.

2. Place the bag in a bright spot with indirect daylight, maintaining a temperature between 23–27°C. Avoid direct sunlight. A good location is on a higher shelf.

Step 5: Ensuring Fresh Air

1. Once the first pins appear, open the bag 1–3 times a day to refresh the air.

2. Mushrooms need fresh air to grow properly; this process removes CO2 buildup.

Step 6: Harvesting

After 2–4 weeks, your mushrooms will be ready to harvest. Harvest all mushrooms, even the smallest ones, just before the veils underneath the caps start to tear. This is crucial for the best results.

Step 7: Preparing for the Next Flush

After the first harvest, prepare the kit for a new flush by soaking it again as described in Step 1.

Repeat the process for up to three flushes

Important Note: These instructions are for classic growkits such as Mondo. Other types or brands like "Fresh Mushrooms," "Supa Gro," and "Copelandia" have different instructions.

Start growing immediately upon receiving your kit. If delayed, store it in the refrigerator at 3–5°C in an airtight plastic bag for up to 3-4 weeks to prevent contamination.
