Haux Haux is a rapé from the Shamanic Snuff range; the supplier says it learned the recipe from a Huni Kuin txai. It lists Moi and Sabiá tobacco, Tsunu ashes, clove vine (Tynanthus elegans), yunu and heart of the boa vine. Tins hold 10 g or 50 g. See also: Rapé, Shamanic Snuff.
Haux Haux, a Tsunu ash rapé with three forest plants
Haux Haux is a rapé (also written rapeh or hapé) from the Shamanic Snuff range, the supplier's house blends. The supplier says the recipe was taught to it by a txai of the Huni Kuin people; txai is a word from the Pano languages, which the supplier translates as brother. The blend combines Moi and Sabiá tobacco with Tsunu ashes and three plants: clove vine, yunu and a vine called heart of the boa. Mycotrop offers Haux Haux in 10 g and 50 g, with the same blend in both sizes.

The plants in the blend
Clove vine, called cipó cravo in Brazil, is Tynanthus elegans, an accepted species of the trumpet-vine family (Bignoniaceae) in the GBIF backbone. The supplier says heart of the boa is named for its heart-shaped leaves and gives veia de pajé as its Portuguese name, without a botanical name. For yunu it gives neither a description nor a Latin name, so none is stated here.
Related blends
A tobacco-free Haux Haux is sold under its own reference. Clove vine and veia de pajé also appear in the Huni Kuin Floresta blend, and the Kuntanawa Heart of the Boa is named after the same vine.
