Mexicana truffles in Mycotek's red 6 × 1 g box
Mycotek sells its Mexicana truffles in two quite different presentations, and this red box is the compact one. Rather than a single pouch, it contains 6 g divided into six portions of 1 g, each sealed in its own raised pocket of clear film on a white card. At Mycotrop it is the smallest quantity of Mexicana on offer. In Mycotek's 6 × 1 g line, red marks Mexicana.

Where the name Mexicana comes from
Mexicana is the strain name Mycotek prints on the box; the pack carries no Latin name. The name matches Psilocybe mexicana R.Heim, which the GBIF taxonomic backbone lists as an accepted species, described in 1957 in the Revue de Mycologie (Paris) and classified in the family Hymenogastraceae. Most of the occurrence records GBIF holds for this species were made in Mexico.
The red box and its card
On the photos, the upper part of the box is white, with the Mycotek name in gold capitals above the line "The Shroom Laboratory" and a pale grey, feather-like drawing running down the right-hand edge. Below the word "Microdose" in dark blue, the strain name Mexicana stands out in white on a red panel, followed by "6 x 1G". The lower part of the box is solid red. The white card holds the six portions in two rows of three, each a lumpy, dark brown cluster of truffle pieces pressed under the film.
More than 6 g of Mexicana
For a larger quantity, Mycotek packs the same strain as Mexicana magic truffles in 15 g and 25 g, which come in a black pouch and are listed in the Magic Truffles category. The 6 × 1 g layout also exists in other strains, for example in the green Tampanensis box.

No. Mexicana is a strain name chosen by Mycotek, and the box states no country of production. Mexico only comes in through the species name Psilocybe mexicana, whose GBIF records are mostly Mexican.

By the red: the name panel and the lower part of the box are red. The Atlantis, Tampanensis and Mycotrop boxes repeat the same lettering in blue, green and orange.
