The Eagle is a bamboo kuripe from Tete Pawã Arts Studio, which the supplier places in the upper Juruá region of Marechal Thaumaturgo, in the Brazilian state of Acre, and whose makers it names as Kuntanawa artisans. The resin head up close
In the product photo, the black and grey resin is swirled like marble. The crown is covered with rows of small dimples, ridged collars sit where the tubes enter, and the grey beak curves down to a point. A small, pale yellow faceted stone is set as the eye. The supplier says each piece is made individually by hand, so the marbling and details differ slightly from one kuripe to the next.
