Not a plant: a cyanobacterium
Spirulina is often grouped with algae, and English name lists call the whole group blue-green algae. In biological classification, however, it is not a plant. The GBIF backbone taxonomy places it in the kingdom Bacteria, in the phylum Cyanobacteria and the family Microcoleaceae. The blue-green colour of the powder in the photos matches that common name.
Spirulina platensis or Arthrospira platensis?
The label uses Spirulina platensis, the name under which the organism is widely sold. The GBIF backbone lists Spirulina platensis (Gomont) Geitler as a synonym and gives Arthrospira platensis Gomont as the accepted name. Both names refer to the same organism; the shop keeps the label name in the product name and gives the accepted name in the table.
Another Maya Superfoods powder
The shop also stocks maca root powder from Peru (Lepidium meyenii) in the same type of 100 g Maya Superfoods pouch. Unlike spirulina, maca is a flowering plant of the mustard family.
