Chaga in liquid form: the 30 ml Maya extract
Chaga is the trade name of Inonotus obliquus, and this product is a liquid extract of it in a 30 ml dark glass bottle closed with a dropper cap. The grey-green label is printed with the name Maya and lists Inonotus obliquus and alcohol 20% as ingredients. The supplier, Maya World Trading BV in Haarlem, lists the form as a tincture and gives Finland as the country; its listing does not describe the extraction method. At Mycotrop, this extract sits alongside whole chaga, chaga powder and chaga extracts from other makers.

Chaga and its scientific name
GBIF accepts Inonotus obliquus (Fr.) Pilát and places it in the family Hymenochaetaceae, order Hymenochaetales. The name goes back to Fries’ Polyporus obliquus, which GBIF lists as a synonym together with Fomes obliquus and Phellinus obliquus. In Finnish the species is called pakurikääpä, in German Schiefer Schillerporling and in French polypore oblique.
Choosing between chaga products
Chaga from the same Haarlem supplier is also available as whole pieces from Finland and as chaga powder, 100 g. For a second liquid format, the label of the Foodsporen chaga extract states a 12:1 ratio; the Maya bottle gives no ratio. The same bottle and label design is used for the Maya lion’s mane extract.
Packaging and delivery
All products are sold strictly as collectible or souvenir items. Orders are prepared on business days and shipped in neutral outer packaging that does not describe the contents. When tracking is available, the link is sent by email after dispatch. Delivery estimates and the 14-day withdrawal right with its statutory exceptions are explained on Delivery, tracking and returns.
