The Yuxibu is one of the bamboo kuripes with a modelled figure in the Mycotrop rapé accessories. Two pale bamboo tubes meet in a V. A snake with red and dark brown bands winds around the joint: its head rests on the upper tube and its tail curls over the lower one. Green leaves and a small yellow dot surround the base. The supplier describes the figure as a boa constrictor and the piece as handcrafted from bamboo. There is one version.

Where the name comes from
According to the supplier, the Huni Kuin, also known as Kaxinawa, an indigenous people of the Amazon basin, call the jiboia, the boa constrictor, Yuxibu, and the snake appears in their creation story. The kuripe takes its name and motif from it. It is not made by the Huni Kuin: the supplier names artisans in Nova Friburgo, a town in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro.
Three snake kuripes
The Bamboo Kuripe – Serpent also has a coiled snake among leaves, but in red, white and black bands, after the black coral snake. The Coral Snake Kuripe is listed separately. The Yuxibu is the boa in the series.
