A bamboo and resin kuripe with a built-in container
This kuripe, sold at Mycotrop, comes from the Tete Pawã studio. Two bamboo tubes form a V and are set into an olive-green resin body. The body is textured with a fine crosshatch and modelled with leaves in relief. One side carries a flower with a yellow centre, the other a dark blue inset. At the far end, a cap topped with a flower unscrews from a clear threaded neck: this is the built-in container, which the supplier gives as 10 ml.

Handmade at Tete Pawã
The supplier places the Tete Pawã studio in the upper Juruá region of the municipality of Marechal Thaumaturgo, in the Brazilian state of Acre. Each kuripe is made by hand, so the modelling and colours vary slightly between batches. The same studio name appears on the Bamboo Tepi – Tete Pawã Arts Studio and on a pyrographed bamboo container with a screw top, which is a separate container without tubes.
