The Simple Black is the most understated of the bamboo kuripes that Mycotrop sells among its rapé accessories. In the product photos, the two tubes keep the warm yellow of natural bamboo, and the cut ends show the fibre. Where the tubes meet in a V, a tapering black sleeve encloses them. Its surface is matt and slightly grainy, without relief, shells or figures. The supplier calls this a black finish but does not name the material of the sleeve. There is one version.

Made at the Tete Pawã studio
According to the supplier, this kuripe is made by hand at the Tete Pawã arts and crafts studio in the remote upper Juruá region of Brazil. The same studio name appears on the Bamboo Kuripe – Black Bird, whose joint is a black resin bird with a carved beak and eye.
