Inonotus obliquus and its names
GBIF lists Inonotus obliquus (Fr.) Pilát as the accepted name, in the family Hymenochaetaceae, order Hymenochaetales. English checklists use chaga, chaga fungus or chaga mushroom. French lists call it polypore incrusté or polypore oblique, and the German taxon list of the DGfM uses Schiefer Schillerporling. On the McMyco jar, only the name Chaga appears.
