The first impression
At first glance at the website turns out to be very professional. Magic mushrooms are clearly in focus through the concise first image. As you scroll further, the provider presents its other products clearly and concisely.
During the product presentation, attention is paid to both pictures and detailed, but not too lengthy, too similar descriptions. The potential buyer notices that the supplier does not offer magic mushrooms per se (probably because of legality), but focuses on so-called grow kits, truffles (are legal in Germany) and various liquid microdosing. Especially for growing the mushrooms are also offered before professional reading as well as experiences of existing buyers.
Accordingly, the whole topic around mushrooms as illegal intoxicants is safely taken out of the gray corner and a professional approach is delivered.
Let’s briefly discuss their main product of the grow kits.
What is a Magic Mushrooms Grow Kit?
A magic mushrooms grow kit is an easy way to grow your own magic mushrooms.
Most magic mushrooms grow kits are with spores. They contain the spores of the Psilocybe cubensis fungus species.
What’s included in a Magic Mushroom Grow Kit?
The Magic Mushroom Grow Kit includes:
A grow box with substrate containing live mycelium of P. cubensis (the spores developed by Magicmushroom grow kit)
Transparent toiletry bag with air filter
2 x Paper clip
Magic mushroom substrate
The substrate in the Magic mushroom grow kit consists of rye, vermiculite and perlite (can be removed).
The development of the Cubensis spores into mycelium has already taken place in a sterile laboratory. The mycelium hibernates safely due to the cold environment.
The first and only thing that needs to be done to grow magical mushrooms from this mycelium is to properly place the grow box in a warm, bright and humid environment.
The substrate and mycelium must first become moist. You can do this by immersing the substrate in water. The vermiculite and perlite absorb a lot of water and keep the propagation box moist.
Use the water from a cold tap or bottled water if you think the tap water is not trustworthy. It may contain bacteria that cold contaminate the kit.
As a rule of thumb, if it’s safe to drink, you can use it for the waxing kit.
Since some of us are still unsure what the difference between magic mushrooms and truffles is (e.g. also because of the gram quantity), it makes sense to make a short trip to their definitions.
The ordering process
Now that we have seen that the website is clear and manageable, we come to the ordering process. Everyone is Amazon.com familiar with the website. The ordering process works on the website in the same way as with the largest online seller in the world. After we informed ourselves about the whole product for a longer time and declared everything to be correct, we were able to put them in the shopping cart to the gram.
We did not get to know any particularly unusual differences. After we were able to use everything like any other online retailer in recent years regarding processes, our desired products were in the shopping cart and we could continue with the purchase.
Checkout
The checkout process does not take long. Overall, the website offers all sorts of credit card processing for the different countries. The quantity (usually in grams) of the products depends in no context.
Magic Mushrooms vs. Truffles
Definition of magic mushrooms
Psilocybin mushrooms, also called magic mushrooms, mushrooms or shrooms, are a polyphyletic, informal group of mushrooms that contain a certain amount of psilocybin, which turns into psilocin when ingested. Biological genera that have psilocybin fungi include Copelandia, Gymnopilus, Inocybe, Panaeolus, Pholiotina, Pluteus, and Psilocybe. Psilocybin mushrooms were and are used in the indigenous cultures of the New World in religious, divinatory or spiritual contexts Psilocybin mushrooms are also used as recreational drugs. These may be depicted in Stone Age rock art in Africa and Europe, but are best known in the pre-Columbian sculptures and glyphs in North, Central and South America.
Definition of truffle
Magic truffles are the sclerotia of psilocybin shrooms, which technically don’t equate to “mushrooms.” They are mycelium masses that contain the fruiting body containing the hallucinogenic chemicals psilocybin and psilocin.
In October 2007, the Dutch authorities announced the ban on hallucinogenic mushrooms or “magic mushrooms”. The ban on shrooms no longer affected the hallucinogenic species in sclerotium form, as the authorities considered them shrooms to be the mushrooms. The psilocybin truffle, which used to make little sales, became the only legal production option. Today, chic shops in the Netherlands offer magic truffles as a legal alternative to the banned mushrooms.
Legality in Germany
To repeat it briefly: The sale of magic mushrooms, unlike truffles, is illegal in Germany as in almost every country. The attachment through the grow kits, on the other hand, is allowed. However, the consumption of both products is always allowed and the effect of the products is always different. Accordingly, each consumer acts on it at his own risk.
As critics and users, we have promised to protect you through our unbiased reviews of reviews of reviews from dubious and dubious providers.
It is still important to know what the effects of hallucinogenic agents are to know before using them in order to help you understand what positive and negative effects these types of drugs can bring to your mind and body (and accordingly your life).
Why are magic mushrooms illegal?
To cut a long story short, it’s mainly due to the ingredient psilocybin.
What is psilocybin?
Psilocybin is a hallucinogenic substance derived from certain types of mushrooms native to the tropical and subtropical regions of South America, Mexico, and the United States. These mushrooms typically contain 0.2 to 0.4 percent psilocybin and a trace of psilocyne, another hallucinogenic substance. Both psilocybin and psilocyn can be produced synthetically, but law enforcement reports do not currently indicate that this is the case.
What does psilocybin look like?
Psilocybin-containing mushrooms are available fresh or dried and have long, slender stems topped by caps with dark gills on the underside. Fresh mushrooms have white or whitish-gray stems; the caps are dark brown at the edges and light brown or white in the middle. Dried mushrooms are generally rust-brown with scattered whitish spots.
How is psilocybin abused?
Psilocybin mushrooms are taken orally. They can be brewed as tea or added to other foods to mask their bitter taste. Some consumers cover the mushrooms with chocolate – this masks the taste and disguises the mushrooms as a candy. Once the mushrooms are ingested, the body breaks down the psilocybin to produce psilocyn.
Who abuses psilocybin?
Psilocybin mushrooms are first popular on raves, in clubs, and increasingly in colleges, and are generally abused by teenagers and young adults. It is difficult to determine the extent of psilocybin use in the United States because most data sources that quantify drug use do not take psilocybin into account. However, the University of Michigan’s “Monitoring the Future Survey” shows that 9.2% of American high school students have used hallucinogens other than LSD at least once in their lives — a category that includes psilocybin. Two percent of high school seniors have used hallucinogens other than LSD in the past month.
How high are the risks?
The consumption of psilocybin is associated with negative physical and psychological consequences. Physical effects that occur within 20 minutes of ingestion and last for about 6 hours include nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, drowsiness and lack of coordination. While there is no evidence that users become physically dependent on psilocybin, tolerance to the drug develops when taken continuously for a short period of time.
The psychological consequences of psilocybin use include hallucinations and the inability to distinguish fantasy from reality. Panic reactions and psychosis can also occur, especially if the user takes a high dose.
In addition to the risks associated with taking psilocybin, individuals who want to abuse psilocybin mushrooms also risk poisoning if one of the many toadstools is mistakenly identified as a psilocybin mushroom.
The effects of magic mushrooms
Methods of psilocybin consumption
“Magic mushrooms” have long, slender stems that can appear white or grayish and on the underside of which there are caps with dark gills. Dried mushrooms usually have a reddish-rust-brown color with scattered whitish spots. Mushrooms are taken orally and can be prepared as tea or mixed into other foods. The mushrooms can be used as a fresh or dried product. Psilocybin has a bitter, inedible taste.
With every dose of psilocybin, there can be a “bad trip”, an unpleasant or even frightening experience. In general, dried mushrooms contain about 0.2 to 0.4% psilocybin and only trace amounts of psilocin. The typical dose of psilocybin used for recreational purposes varies, with the peak of the effect reached within 1 to 2 hours and lasting about six hours.
Dose and effect can vary considerably depending on the type of mushroom, method of preparation and individual tolerability. It can be difficult to determine the exact type of mushroom or determine how much hallucinogen each mushroom contains. When using psilocybin for recreational purposes, it may be safer to start with smaller doses and test the effects over a longer period of time.
Effects of Consuming Magic Mushrooms
The effects of psilocybin are similar to those of other hallucinogens, such as mescaline from peyote or LSD. Psychological responses to psilocybin use include visual and auditory hallucinations and the inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality. Panic reactions and psychosis can also occur, especially if large amounts of psilocybin are ingested.
Hallucinogens that interfere with the action of the brain chemical serotonin can change:
the mood
Sensory perception
Sleep
Hunger
Body temperature
Sexual behaviour
Muscle control
The physical effects of psychedelic mushrooms may include nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, confusion, and lack of coordination. Combined consumption with other substances, such as alcohol and marijuana, can increase or worsen all of these effects.
Other effects of hallucinogenic drugs may include:
heightened feelings and sensory experiences
Changes in the sense of time (e.g. that time passes more slowly)
increased blood pressure, increased respiratory rate, or body temperature
Anorexia
dry mouth
Sleep problems
Mixed senses (e.g. “seeing” sounds or “hearing” colours)
spiritual experiences
Feelings of relaxation or detachment from oneself/environment
uncoordinated movements
Reduced inhibition threshold
excessive sweating
Panic
Paranoia – extreme and unreasonable distrust of others
Psychosis – disturbed thinking detached from reality
Larger doses of psilocybin, including an overdose, can cause intense hallucinogenic effects over a longer period of time. There can be an intense “trip” episode, which can be accompanied by panic, paranoia, psychosis, frightening visualizations (“bad trip”) and very rarely death. The memory of a “bad trip” can last a lifetime.
The misuse of psilocybin mushrooms can also lead to poisoning or death if a poisonous mushroom is mistaken for a “magic” mushroom and ingested. If vomiting, diarrhea or stomach cramps occur several hours after eating the mushrooms, the possibility of poisoning with poisonous mushrooms should be considered and medical help should be sought immediately.
Tolerance to psilocybin has been reported, meaning that a person needs an ever-increasing dose to achieve the same hallucinogenic effect. “Flashbacks,” such as those that occur in some people after consuming LSD, have also been reported in mushrooms. It is reported that people who use LSD or mescaline may also develop cross-tolerance to psilocybin.
Is it illegal to take mushrooms?
Here, too, we will put it briefly: No. This is a product from nature, which can trigger hallucinations. However, consumption is not illegal under all conditions, possession is. Due to the effects of magic mushrooms, some people, especially if they have not been mentally and physically fit before, can be on a bad cubensis trip. We have been studying the effects of magic mushrooms for some time and would now say that everyone reacts differently.
Take it under supervision accordingly and only if you are already well! Then there are no negative effects, some of which could happen for weeks and consumption thus remains legal.
Get caught high with mushrooms
Random drug tests can detect shroom use and are often required when a person is on probation for drug offenses. The penalties for probation violations go far beyond the penalties for the original offense.
Therefore, in most drug tests, such as blood and hair follicle tests, fungi are usually undetectable. However, there are special urine tests, often used by employers and probation officers, that specifically target mushroom consumption and can detect mushroom consumption in a person for one to three days after consumption.
A positive drug test during probation is likely to invalidate all pre-trial intervention programs and bring new and significant legal and financial implications.

Excerpt: What are the best magic mushrooms?
What are the differences between the different types of fungi containing psilocybin? We’ve compared the identification, potency, and growing conditions of some of the most popular magic mushroom varieties to find out which one works best for you.
Which magical mushroom varieties are the best?
Magic mushrooms are mushroom species that contain the psychoactive substance psilocybin. Psilocybin acts on 5HT2A receptors in the brain, causing mind-altering effects.
There are over 200 different types of magic mushrooms. Each type of magic mushroom from nature has different concentrations of psilocybin, psilocin and baeocystin, which are also psychoactive substances. The different amounts of each compound mean that the overall effect and power can vary from mushroom species to mushroom species.
People who prefer a more intense trip should therefore take stronger magic mushrooms.
Depending on the psilocybin content, people may have different preferences for the different types of mushrooms. For example, if you prefer more intense trips, you might prefer stronger magic mushrooms.
The different types of magic mushrooms also require different conditions for their growth. If you grow yourself, you may have a favorite type of magic mushroom that is easiest to grow.
We’ve put together a comparison between some of the most popular magic mushrooms strains so you can decide which mushrooms are best for you.
Psilocybe Hoogshagenii
Psilocybe hoogshagenii is known among the indigenous peoples of Mexico for its spiritual use. They are also known as Psilocybe Semperviva, where Semperviva means “longevity” because these fungi have a long survival and are resistant to pollutants.
What do they look like?
The hats of P. hoogshagenii are reddish brown to orange-brown and have a diameter of about 1 to 2.5 cm. The stems are about 5 – 9 cm long and 1 – 3 mm thick and have a white-brownish color, which turns red towards the base.
The P. hoogshagenii has gills (papery ribs under the hat), which are purple-black in fully mature fungi.
Where can they be found?
P. hoogshagenii originally grows in Puebla, Oaxaca and Chiapas in Mexico and in regions in Colombia, Brazil and Argentina.
As a rule, it thrives well on muddy clay soils in subtropical coffee plantations.
The psychoactive effect of the mushroom is classified as “moderately active”, and the psilocybin content is reported to be about 0.6 milligrams per gram of dried mushroom.
P. hoogshagenii is now used by the indigenous peoples of Mexico in spiritual ceremonies, suggesting that it has a remarkable entheogenic effect.
P. hoogshagenii is traditionally used by the Chinatec-speaking peoples of Oaxaca, Mexico, to diagnose and predict various diseases. The Chinatec refer to these mushrooms as “atkat” or “judges” because they consider the species to be extremely wise.
Psilocybe Azurescens
P. azurescens grows naturally in forested areas of North America. Their high content of psilocybin makes them one of the strongest known psychedelic mushrooms.
What do they look like?
P. azurescens have dark, caramel-colored hats that are initially convex and later flattened. The hats have a diameter of about 3 – 10 cm, a smooth surface and a striking wide shade.
The stem can be between 9 and 20 cm long and white, but becomes grey/brown with increasing maturity. At the base of the stem there are often white tufts.
Where can you find them?
P. azurescens thrives best in sandy, debris-rich soils and on deciduous and wood chips.
P. azurescens was originally discovered near the Columbia River near Oregon in the United States. They are also native to Washington, California, America and British Columbia, Canada.
How does it feel to consume them?
P. azurescens are one of the strongest known fungi in the world. The psilocybin content is up to 1.8 milligrams per gram of dried mushroom.
Reports describe the experience as incredibly intense, with strong visual hallucinations and physical sensations, including the feeling of receiving energy. The strength of the mushrooms can cause them to confuse cognitively.
Psilocybe Bohemica
P. bohemica is a fungus native to Europe. Until recently, it was divided into three different species: P. bohemica, P. arcana and P. moravica. In the meantime, however, scientists have proven that all fungi belong genetically to the same species, but are very variable.
What do they look like?
P. bohemica has a broadly convex cap that is smooth, has an orange-brown color and is between 2 – 4 cm tall. The stem has a diameter of 4.5 – 8 cm and 2 – 10 mm, is white and covered with a silky sheen.
P. bohemica has underneath gills (running down the stem) that are dark brown with purple reflections.
Where are they found?
P. bohemica is often found on rotting wood of deciduous and coniferous trees.
The fungus grows best in moist, sunny places and is native throughout northeastern Europe.
How does it feel to consume them?
P. bohemica has a wide range of psilocybin concentrations, ranging from 0.11 to 1.34 mg of psilocybin per 1 gram of dried mushroom. This means that the potency and the strength of the effect are very different between different mushrooms of the same species.
