What psilocybin and psilocin have to do with a good trip and how to buy psilocybine

Definition and overview of magic mushrooms

Magic mushrooms (German: magic mushrooms or magic mushrooms) is the common name for psilocybin-containing mushrooms. Other well-known names are shrooms, hallcinogenic mushrooms or psilocybin-containing mushrooms.

All names have one thing in common: they give a name to the approximately 200 different mushrooms that are consumed because of their psychedelic substances psilocybin and psilocin. It is one of the best known psilocybins in all of Europe and America. The mushrooms are classified as a drug, as the active ingredients carry a high risk of abuse and dependence.

It is a drug that is increasingly consumed by young people. Like other drugs such as cannabis, LSD, cocaine and other substances, this drug is not legal to buy in Germany. However, it is not the magic mushroom itself that is banned, but the active ingredients psilocybin and psilocin. Transport, possession and trafficking are therefore strictly prohibited according to Annex 1 of the Narcotics Act.

In Amsterdam and other cities in the Netherlands, this drug is even better known but not much less controversial than in Germany. Even in the Netherlands, the commercial trade in magic mushrooms has not been legal for several years.

However, in the Netherlands it is still allowed to own the magic mushrooms and to breed them yourself. To do this you need so-called growkits (to German: breeding set), which can be ordered surprisingly easily on the Internet in online shops with shipping to the front door. More and more you can have the growkits sent to Germany, but you must first agree that you are aware of the laws in your country and the sales company assumes no liability.

These kits are not only popular for legal reasons but also by the price / performance ratio they get many positive reviews. Because breeding with the help of these growkits is even easier than ordering itself. The harvest can usually take place after about three weeks and achieve up to 600 grams of mushrooms. Thus, they do not even grow quickly but also have a high yield. Simply add water to the added substrate and fungal culture, store at a constant temperature of about 23°C and spray with water twice a day. With about 20 EUR per grow-kit, they are also a very cheap alternative to other substrates and drugs.

The mushrooms also grow in the wild and can also be grown in nature, but this requires very special conditions and skills that are difficult to achieve.

Also in other countries inside and outside Europe and around the world, the drug has been very popular for a long time to buy a cheap and uncomplicated ‘trip’.

Consumption

Usually the magic mushrooms are sold in the dried state. If they are grown themselves with the help of a grow kit, they can also be eaten fresh. The mushrooms can either be made into a tea or mixed into other foods and drinks. In addition, the dried mushrooms can also be mixed with marijuana or tobacco and smoked. There is also a liquid form of psilocybin that can be extracted from the mushrooms and consumed.

Effect of magic mushrooms

Before consuming the magic mushrooms, you should be sure about the effect and be aware that depending on the mushroom and person, the effect can be very different. In general, the more is consumed, the greater the effect, for some it takes quite slowly until the effect occurs, for others enormously fast.

Active substances

As mentioned above, magic mushrooms contain the active ingredients psilocybin and psilocin, which is why they are psilocybe mushrooms. The psilocybin is converted to psilocin in the body and is believed to affect serotonin levels in the brain, causing altered, unusual perceptions. The duration of the effect can last from 20 minutes to four to six hours, because that’s how long it takes for the psilocin to be metabolized and excreted. However, magic mushrooms can have long-term effects that can change the consumer’s personality or cause flashbacks.

A dependence on magic mushrooms can generally not happen, as a tolerance is quickly built up and thus makes it less attractive to consume a lot.

Experts advise against using the magic mushrooms as self-medication as it can have the opposite effect if they are used to treat anxiety and the like.

Since it is an organic natural product and not a laboratory-made substance, the amount of psilocybin varies greatly from mushroom to mushroom. Therefore, it is very difficult to see in advance how much can be consumed and how long the trip will last.

Per

The psilocybin mushrooms are said to have many positive properties, which multiplies the user group. However, caution is advised when dealing with the magic mushrooms. The effect of the mushrooms can be very different depending on the person and quantity, which is why inexperienced users should inform themselves about the dosage in advance to avoid a bad trip.

In general, magic mushrooms are a hallizigäne drug, which means that when consumed, sensations can be seen, heard or felt that feel real but are only hallucinations. As with any drug, however, the effects are very individual and strongly influenced by external factors. Such factors are, for example, the dosage of the mushrooms, age, weight, personality, emotional state of the person, the environment or the mental health status.

The magic mushrooms are known to produce a very peaceful and pleasant ‘high’, which, together with the magical hallucinations, has the biggest rice factor for consumers.

Already many thousands of years ago, psilocybins were associated with spiritual experiences and self-discovery. Like marijuana, magic mushrooms are often used to conquer particularly spiritual states. Especially original inhabitants in America and Europe have used the mushrooms in the past and today to meet on a different level.

Although magic mushrooms are not (yet) used for medical purposes, there are some studies and investigations investigating the positive effects. For example, a small amount of magic mushrooms should help against special types of headaches without achieving the psycoactive effects. The effect of magic mushrooms on diseases such as Alzheimer’s, anorexia or post-traumatic stress syndrome is also being investigated.

Con

Any hallucinogenic substance carries the risk of side effects. The classic side effects are nausea, headache, nervousness, paranoia, panic, hallucinations, psychosis and dizziness. In the worst case, it can even lead to seizures.

The mushrooms have a very negative reputation because of the side effects they can have on some people. Thus, the mushrooms can not cause physical damage, but the substances psilocybin and psilocin trigger halllucinations, which can cause great difficulties for people with latent mental health problems. Therefore, it is generally advised mentally unstable people to consume this drug.

In addition, it should be mentioned that the magic mushrooms are often consumed by adults in combination with alcohol and other substances, which increases the risk of mental and physical harm.

In addition, magic mushrooms are often perceived as a safe drug that causes a gentler trip. However, strong caution is required here because the unpredictable amounts of psilocybin can lead to severe misjudgments and side effects.

Conclusion-magic mushrooms try or are they not so magical?

After all this varied information, which illuminates both advantages and disadvantages of magic mushrooms, the question arises whether the magic mushrooms are recommended or not? Officially, of course, drug use is not recommended for legal reasons – especially minors.

In general, it can be said that there are few arguments why experimental people who are interested in a special trip should not even try the magic mushrooms. However, as with all intoxicants, larger amounts are not recommended, as unwanted side effects can occur, especially in mentally ill people.

However, when consumed in the right amount, the magic mushrooms can have a very positive effect that can be better than other drugs such as LSD, truffles, marijuana or cocaine. In addition, the mushrooms are more organic and easier to obtain due to the availability of grow kits. They grow in just a few weeks, are comparatively easy to buy and there is a slightly lower risk in terms of legal and illegal. If you want to order magic mushrooms, you should inform yourself in advance about the state of the law.

On the question of whether you should try the magic mushrooms there is no clear “no”. However, it is a very individual decision that is associated with individual risks. But those who dare to take the step can be magically rewarded.
